Spring Fun Extravaganza Classes

I am ready for spring! Don't get me wrong, I really do like winter. I love the beauty of the snow blanketing our land, ice crystals on the trees, snowshoeing, and cozy fires. But it is the end of February and another named snow storm hit our area today. I don't want to be shoveling anymore. In my mind I am over winter and sitting on our covered porch! I am paging through the gardening books and going to planting parties. See what I mean--spring can't get hear quick enough for me!

So when I saw the announcement come across my desk from Fox Valley Technical College in Waupaca, www.fvtc.edu/waupaca and it was titled, "Spring Fun Extravaganza Classes" on Saturday, April 13, 2013, from 8am-5pm, I took notice.

The college has put together a wonderfully interesting and affordable mix of classes to help us gear up for spring. Take up to 4 classes for $20.00. Over 20 classes to choose from such as, "Garden Talk with the Expert", "Landscaping with Natives", and "Fairy Garden Workshop". If you are as anxious to put away the shovel in exchange for getting out your bike, like I am, how about a "Bicycle Maintenance & Repair" class? There is a cooking class, decorating classes, Geocaching, a class on basic fishing techniques and much more.

Sounds like a great way to spend a day. You learn, meet new people, and get motivated for spring! Not a bad investment for $20.

The Apple Tree Lane Bed & Breakfast, www.appletreelanebb.com is only a couple of miles from the campus. Why not consider a "Learn & Leisure" weekend in Waupaca. Bring a friend or two and delight in a getaway weekend. Enjoy our fine area restaurants (share what you learned in class!), do some specialty shopping (find the perfect plant, spring arrangement, or fishing pole!), and enjoy your friendship (how about some ice tea and brownies back at the Inn!).

Let the Apple Tree Lane Bed and Breakfast welcome you to a fun-filled and relaxing time with friends. When you finally get to your guest suite for a restful night--don't forget to DREAM ABOUT SPRING!
